About the Role
As a Nursing Support Worker, you’ll work alongside registered nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care. You’ll help ensure patients receive safe, compassionate treatment while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the ward.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver delegated clinical care under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients and promptly report any physical or mental health changes.
- Assist with ECG recordings, catheter care, stoma care, wound care, and removal of peripheral cannulas.
- Support patients during examinations and medical procedures as a chaperone.
- Provide enhanced supervision for patients at risk of falls, memory loss, or mental health challenges.
- Maintain clean clinical environments and ensure medical equipment is properly sanitised.
- Follow safeguarding procedures for adults and children.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver outstanding patient care.
