Nadson Consulting are currently recruiting for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join a well-established principal contractor on a live residential project in East London. The position will be predominantly site-based and will involve acting as the key point of contact between the project team and residents across approximately 130 occupied apartments. This is a freelance contract offering £170–£225 per day, with work currently expected to continue into early 2027. There may also be some flexibility to work from home once fully established on the project.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day communication with residents while supporting the delivery team in gaining access to occupied properties and balcony areas. Responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary liaison between residents and the construction team
- Coordinating and arranging access to approximately 130 occupied apartments
- Managing resident communications regarding upcoming works
- Producing and distributing letters, notices and appointment information
- Arranging access to apartments and balconies in line with the programme
- Keeping accurate records of resident contact, appointments and access arrangements
- Dealing professionally with resident queries, concerns and complaints
- Working closely with the site and delivery teams to minimise disruption
- Ensuring residents are kept fully informed throughout the works
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer / Tenant Liaison Officer / Customer Liaison Officer. Ideally you will have worked for a principal contractor delivering works within occupied residential properties, including refurbishment, remediation, planned maintenance, external works or similar programmes.
You will need to be:
- Confident dealing directly with residents
- Highly organised
- Professional and personable
- Comfortable managing access arrangements across multiple properties
- Able to communicate effectively with both residents and construction teams
- Available to start at relatively short notice
