West London, Clapham Junction. £75,000 – £85,000 + Package Permanent | Major Residential Development

Nadson Consulting are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager / Façade Manager to join a leading principal contractor delivering a major new-build residential development in West London. The project comprises 500+ residential units for a major international real estate developer and is one of the contractor's flagship London schemes.

We are specifically looking for someone with a strong façade engineering and delivery background, who can take responsibility for a significant unitised façade package on the development working for the Principal Contractor on the scheme.

The Role

Working as part of an established project team, you will take responsibility for the management and delivery of the external façade works, working closely with the Project Director, design team, specialist subcontractors and consultants. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the installation and delivery of a major unitised façade system
  • Managing specialist façade subcontractors and associated packages
  • Reviewing technical information, drawings, sequencing and installation methodology
  • Working closely with the design and engineering teams to resolve technical and interface issues
  • Managing programme, quality, logistics and health & safety across the façade works
  • Monitoring installation quality and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specification and approved design
  • Coordinating façade interfaces with the structure, internal trades, roofing and other associated packages
  • Driving progress on site and identifying potential programme or technical issues before they impact delivery

Candidate Requirements

Previous unitised façade experience is an absolute requirement for this position. We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • Strong experience delivering unitised curtain walling / façade systems on major construction projects
  • An engineering or technically led background
  • Previous experience working for a principal contractor, façade specialist or major envelope subcontractor
  • Experience on large-scale residential, high-rise, commercial or mixed-use developments
  • Strong technical understanding of façade installation, interfaces, tolerances and sequencing
  • The ability to manage specialist subcontractors while remaining technically involved in the package
  • Excellent quality, programme and health & safety standards
