Nadson Consulting are working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager for a prestigious £80m healthcare development in Central London. This is a highly technical, high-specification project incorporating state-of-the-art clinical environments, extensive MEP services, specialist medical equipment and premium internal finishes. The project is moving into a significant delivery phase and the successful Senior Site Manager will join an established project leadership team, taking responsibility for major elements of the internal construction and fit-out through to completion.
The Role
- Taking ownership of significant internal and fit-out packages
- Managing Site Managers, subcontractors and specialist trades
- Driving short-term programme and ensuring key project milestones are achieved
- Coordinating complex interfaces between architectural, MEP and specialist healthcare installations
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards of quality and finish
- Managing subcontractor performance and resolving delivery issues
- Working closely with design, commercial, planning and MEP teams
- Managing QA, inspections, snagging and handover
- Maintaining the highest Health & Safety standards throughout delivery
- Providing regular progress reporting to senior project management
About You
- Strong Tier 1 / Tier 2 Main Contractor experience
- Proven delivery experience on major construction projects
- Extensive high-spec internal / fit-out experience
- Experience managing multiple subcontract packages and Site Managers
- Strong programme and sequencing knowledge
- Excellent understanding of quality management and finishing
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
Healthcare experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential. Candidates from major commercial, life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare or similarly high-spec technically complex projects will also be considered. The key requirement is a proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality internal packages within a main contractor environment.
