Nadson Consulting are recruiting a Freelance Quality Manager to support a well-established London-based principal contractor across a number of live construction projects. Working predominantly from their City of London office, you will work closely with Project Managers and site delivery teams across multiple schemes, helping to drive, monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the construction process. The initial requirement is for approximately 3 months, although there is a strong possibility of the assignment continuing beyond this due to the contractor's wider project pipeline.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with Project Managers across multiple live projects
- Reviewing and maintaining project quality documentation, ITPs and inspection records
- Carrying out site quality inspections and audits
- Identifying defects, non-conformances and areas requiring improvement
- Supporting project teams with close-out and corrective actions
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and agreed quality standards
- Reviewing subcontractor quality performance and documentation
- Supporting handover, snagging and project completion where required
- Helping maintain consistent quality procedures across the wider business
We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager / Construction Quality Manager with a strong principal contractor background and experience working across complex London construction projects. Experience across residential, PBSA, commercial fit-out, refurbishment, façade or building-safety projects would be particularly relevant given the variety of work within the business. This is a strong opportunity to join a growing, privately owned London contractor with a strong pipeline of work and the potential for a longer-term freelance requirement.
