Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Head of Procurement Planning and Governance, the Procurement Planning and Monitoring Specialist plays a pivotal role in developing and coordinating the overall procurement pipeline, procurement intelligence and procurement performance monitoring.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development of the procurement pipeline (Growth or Operational, or both) in conjunction with the Heads of Procurement.
  • Conduct planning and development of timelines for the various procurement activities required on the project pipeline(s).
  • Support Operational and Growth Procurement with the procurement of certain services and goods as required. Assist with audits, ISO certifications and reporting and updating of data.
  • Coordinate the process of reviewing and improving the prevailing procurement policies for ESG requirements. Develop and implement the required processes and/or systems for Procurement to effectively support ESG monitoring.
  • Develop and update procurement market analysis reports, report on market product trends and updates. Obtain and update OEM/supplier prices, datasheets and track record information.
  • Develop, prepare and update spend analysis reports and CAPEX estimations. Develop and update price tracking database, including offer database maintenance, indexes, and forecasts.
  • Measure and report on procurement performance against targets and make suggestions for improvement and/or focus areas.

Qualities And Skills

  • Should have some previous procurement experience, an analytical mindset and the ability to foster and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Should have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid working relationships and work across functions in a professional environment.
  • Should have the ability to analyse processes and systems to make sound improvement recommendations while being conscious of the broader business imperatives.
