Salary: £27,540 per annum

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week (+5 hours paid lunch)

Location: Northampton

Please note: Driving license and access to a vehicle is essential as travelling across the region is a requirement in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resettlement support to male offenders and ex‑offenders, both in custody and in the community.
  • Help them overcome barriers to personal wellbeing and successfully reintegrate into society.
  • Work collaboratively in a multi‑agency setting, maintain professional relationships, and protect confidentiality.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to this client group.
  • Deliver group interventions, gather research, analyse data, and develop practical and achievable resettlement plans.
  • Support the development of interventions delivered alongside these plans.
  • Demonstrate excellent listening skills and respond appropriately to challenging behaviour.

Qualifications

  • Clear understanding of the support requirements of people under supervision of the Probation Service.
  • Experience providing information, advice, and guidance to this client group.
  • Experience delivering interventions in a group setting and possessing research, analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated listening skills and effective communication, especially when responding to challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to develop practical resettlement plans.
  • IAG Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • DBS check and Prison Clearance Check required.
