Hybrid working between Bolton and Leeds Education Centres with some home working and other national travel as required. DBS requirement Enhanced and Barred. This role does not offer eligibility for visa sponsorship. This role offers a starting salary within Nacro’s pay structure of Entry Salary of £41,851 with expected progression to Established Salary £43,107 within the first year, subject to meeting clear criteria and performance standards, with further pay progression available in the future. About You

We are looking to recruit an experienced Further Education professional as our Head of Curriculum & Engagement to lead our education teams in the Northwest region, based between Bolton and Leeds. This is a pivotal role, where you will ensure a high-quality learning experience which leads to excellent achievement, progression, and destination outcomes for all learners, whilst supporting the development, planning, delivery and monitoring of Nacro’s curriculum to ensure that it meets the needs and aspirations of learners and the employment and skills priorities of the regions that we serve.

Duties & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver effective, operational leadership and management to Education Centre delivery teams, including line management, coaching, mentoring, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality and impactful education provision.
  • Provide day to day oversight and operational management of Education Centres and Learning Spaces.
  • Working collaboratively with Finance Business Partners to deliver efficient and effective financial planning, budget, and resource management for sustainable provision.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including Local Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships, employers, feeder schools and colleges.
  • Lead and own the approach for ensuring that curriculum design is inclusive, engaging and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with the Education Leadership Team to manage and support Education Centre Delivery Teams in designing and delivering curriculum content that meets learners' needs and aspirations.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, together with strong ICT proficiency.
