$130,000 AUD – $150,000 AUD + 15% superannuation
The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body representing 146 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). These services deliver comprehensive, culturally safe primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.
NACCHO plays a vital role in driving transformational health reform. We work collaboratively with governments and other partners to improve health outcomes through programs targeting chronic disease, mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, and more.
About the Role
NACCHO is currently seeking a Public Health Registrar to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. This role involves close collaboration with internal program teams and the broader ACCHO sector. The position is supported by two FAFPHM supervisors and will require some travel.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a strong commitment to community-controlled health care and advocacy
- Understands the Priority Reforms under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Has sound knowledge of health research and critical appraisal methods
- Works well in multidisciplinary teams and is open to innovative approaches to health care
Qualifications
- Medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or recognised equivalent)
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration (no conditions, undertakings or reprimands)
- Master of Public Health or an equivalent qualification acceptable to AFPHM
- Enrolment in AFPHM Advanced Training with RACP, or written confirmation of eligibility to commence
- Minimum four years of post-graduate clinical experience
- National Police Check (mandatory)
- Working with Vulnerable People and Children Check (mandatory)
- Prior experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health is highly regarded
