The Role
- Lead quarterly reserving reviews across a diverse portfolio of Lloyd's and London Market business.
- Produce reserve recommendations and communicate results to senior management and reserving committees.
- Work closely with underwriting teams to understand portfolio performance, emerging trends and claims developments.
- Deliver analysis to support business planning, forecasting and strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to reserve risk parameterisation and the wider capital model process.
- Support Solvency II, Lloyd's and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Drive improvements in reserving methodologies, processes and governance.
- Manage and mentor junior actuarial team members, supporting their technical and professional development.
- Collaborate with Finance, Claims, Risk and Underwriting teams across a range of business initiatives.
About You
- FIA qualified actuary.
- Strong reserving experience gained within a Lloyd's syndicate, managing agent or London Market insurer.
- Excellent understanding of non-life reserving techniques and regulatory requirements.
- Experience communicating technical findings to both actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous mentoring or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
