A well-established and growing logistics and distribution business based in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to support the finance team through a period of growth and increasing reporting requirements. This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to management accounts, business partnering, and operational finance, ideal for someone actively studying ACCA / CIMA and looking to step up.

The Role

  • Assisting with monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis)
  • Accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Cost analysis across warehousing, transport, and operational spend
  • Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting
  • Continuous improvement of processes and reporting

The Person

  • Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a management accounts or assistant accountant role
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with operational teams
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and keen to progress
