We maintain deep relationships with leading companies and investors across subsectors including Life & Pensions, Property & Casualty, Reinsurance, Insurance Brokers and Services, Specialty lines, and Insurtech, and we support clients through strategic M&A and capital markets solutions that align with their corporate strategy and structure.

You will manage analysts and associates, partner closely with senior bankers, and collaborate with cross‑border colleagues and product teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, LevFin, Ratings/Credit) to deliver best‑in‑class advice.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the origination and execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions for insurance clients (buyside, sellside, carveouts, take privates, portfolio/asset sales; where relevant, reinsurance and balance sheet optimisation solutions).
- Oversee and review financial analysis, valuation and modelling (DCF, trading and transaction comps, merger models, LBOs, accretion/dilution) ensuring analytical rigor and accuracy; guide teams through large and complex valuation exercises.
- Develop and present strategic advice and materials to clients, including board level executives; contribute to idea generation and pipeline development aligned to EMEA insurance sector themes and market dynamics.
- Coordinate workstreams with internal product partners and external advisers (legal, accounting and other diligence providers) across jurisdictions; manage due diligence, documentation and negotiations from pitch to close.
- Drive marketing initiatives, pitches and thought leadership tailored to insurance regulatory and market developments; keep abreast of key market and regulatory changes and translate insights into client recommendations and opportunities.
- Mentor and develop junior team members; set quality standards, provide training and feedback; support recruiting and foster a collaborative team culture.
- Ensure high quality deliverables, strong client relationships and adherence to internal risk, conduct and compliance requirements; uphold and enhance the franchise's reputation in the marketplace.

- Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities, including expert Excel modelling and valuation; proficient in building and reviewing detailed financial models and complex analyses for live transactions and strategic dialogue.
- Demonstrated origination contribution (idea generation, relationship development, pitch leadership) and an ability to convert opportunities into mandates; strong communication and client engagement skills.
- Proactive ownership mindset; highly organized, detail oriented and decisive; excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; advanced degree a plus.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Additional European language skills to support cross‑border execution and client engagement across EMEA.
- Experience working with financial sponsors and insurance focused investors active in EMEA; familiarity with regulatory frameworks and diligence topics specific to insurance (e.g., Solvency II, reinsurance structures, capital optimisation).
