We are now recruiting for a Group Consolidations Accountant for our client, a successful global financial services PLC based in London. The ideal candidate will be a fully-qualified accountant with post‑qualification experience in industry (financial services or outside of financial services) with multi‑currency consolidations and PLC group accounts production experience being essential. Profile Criteria:

  • Fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with Group financial reporting or consolidations experience from industry (within a medium or large listed company / PLC)
  • An individual with a good understanding of financial statement concepts and principles and end-to-end financial statement preparation
  • Strong technical skills: the individual will need to have a proven track record in preparing complex consolidations together with an understanding of IFRS and IFRS to local GAAP adjustments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Role purpose:

This role is to assist the Group Finance Manager to prepare and analyse the Group's monthly management accounts, support the budgeting and forecasting processes and prepare the key financial information for the Group's Interim and Annual Report, as well as dealing with the audit of these external results. The role will involve working closely with other Finance teams geographically and across business units as well as other support functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and management reports.
  • Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers of performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations and journals.
  • Support the external audit process and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to senior management and business units.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
