Sedgwick Global Specialty is looking for a qualified accountant to support with major energy losses. The focus of this role is the quantification of business interruption and financial losses for Energy claims. We work closely with global insurers, reinsurers, captives and forensic accountants to resolve complex insurance claims.

As a senior‑level Accountant within our Energy Loss Adjusting business, you will play a key role in delivering robust financial analysis on complex energy‑related claims. You will assist in carrying out detailed forensic assessments of financial losses arising from operational disruption, asset damage, and production or revenue interruption, ensuring all conclusions are accurate, defensible, and well‑evidenced. You will also assist with preparation of property damage schedules.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Professional Qualification - Possession of a recognised accountancy credential (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA), evidencing technical proficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Insurance experience - Worked with in the Insurance market ideally or supporting insurers.
  • Analytical Expertise - Capacity to interrogate multifaceted claims, construct defensible financial loss models, and articulate rationale with precision and authority.
  • Sector Specialisation - Power and energy experience or specialisation highly preferred, alongside commercial discernment, linguistic versatility (foreign languages advantageous), and adaptability to dynamic working arrangements, including travel contingent on caseload exigencies.
