Aon is currently recruiting a Client Manager to join our Corporate team in Chelmsford. This is a hybrid role, combining home, office and client‑based working, with a strong focus on engaging with and supporting your client portfolio as part of a collaborative client service team.

What the day will look like:

  • As the Client Manager, you will lead a portfolio of key clients, ensuring excellent service provision through dedicated teams and Aon's specialist resources, and ensuring clients are aware of the full capability of Aon to grow successful long‑term partnerships.
  • Corporate clients typically require bespoke insurance programmes and associated risk management and risk transfer services.
  • Besides being the insurance broker, the Corporate team in Chelmsford provides clients advice on insurance and risk management across most industries, with specialisms in food and beverage, retail, hospitality and the digital economy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the service provided to clients by our Corporate Team, ensuring the highest level of service in line with agreed client service tools.
  • Identify and introduce Aon's products and services to meet the client's needs and communicate each client’s business issues to the service team and other parts of Aon.
  • Build client relationships with key decision‑makers at the client.
  • Grow the revenue and profitability of your client portfolio, including meeting the annual revenue target for this portfolio.
  • Work in accordance with Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and comply with Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in risk management and completion of mandatory training that may affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Proven experience in the insurance industry with client‑relationship management and core commercial risk lines.
  • Experience handling large, corporate insurance risks.
  • Commercial understanding of business (market forces, drivers, dynamics, competitors and risks).
  • Prior experience with sales, fee setting, negotiation and influencing.
  • An effective communicator and presenter.
