Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite profitable Political Violence, Terrorism & War risks in line with the company\’s underwriting strategy and appetite.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Lloyd\’s accredited brokers, and A+ rated capacity providers in London and internationally.
• Attract, and manage quality quota-share capacity.
• Utilise the company\’s proprietary data analytics to support evidence-based, disciplined underwriting.
• Ensure compliance with delegated authority agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop new products and capture opportunities in emerging markets.
• Drive profitable growth of the Political Violence, Terrorism & War portfolio, complementing the company\’s wider specialty offering.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record in underwriting Political Violence, Terrorism & War.
• Strong broker and market relationships in London and internationally.
• Ability to attract, retain, and grow underwriting capacity.
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Analytical, comfortable using data models and tools to inform decisions.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and committed to building a long-term profitable book.
