A wellâestablished, independent Lloyd's broker is looking to add an Insurance & Reinsurance Technician to its Technical team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants exposure across binding authorities, open market business and delegated authority operations, and is looking to grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.
The role sits within a highly experienced technical function and offers the chance to work across the full life-cycle of binding authorities and open market placements, supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing binding authority, lineslip and open market MRCs, endorsements and associated documentation, using LMA wordings and market guidelines
- Setting up, handling and administering binding authorities, including DCOM
- Supporting cover-holder compliance, including use of Atlas and Crystal
- Liaising with clients, underwriters, Lloyd's and internal teams
- Producing and processing risk and premium bordereaux
- Submitting documentation via Xchanging, including A&S and delinking
- Preparing LPANs, closings, endorsements and payment requests
- Running accounting reports, reconciliations and maintaining technical files
- Entering risks and transactions into internal systems (training provided)
- Supporting MI preparation, workflow tracking and general technical duties
- Ensuring renewals, adjustments and quotations are handled efficiently and accurately
- Experience within a Lloyd's broker, ideally across insurance, reinsurance and binding authorities
- Strong understanding of Lloyd's and Company market technical processes
- Confident handling LPANs, bordereaux and binding authority administration
- Familiarity with Atlas (essential)
- Good IT skills, especially Excel
- Strong communication, organisation and problemâsolving skills
- Someone proactive, adaptable and comfortable working across varied technical tasks
- Exposure across binding authorities, open market and delegated authority operations
