About the job North American Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie Broker (Producer)
Our client, a fast-paced, dynamic, and independently-owned insurance brokerage located in the heart of the Insurance District, in a prestigious and iconic building, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Broker to develop and manage a portfolio of specialist clients in the North American market (US and Canada). This role is ideal for a producer with established and strong client relationships in the Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie markets. Full administrative support will be provided, allowing you to focus on client relationships and business generation.
About the Role:
As an Insurance Broker specialising in North American Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie insurance, you will be responsible for:
- Business Development: Identifying, targeting, and acquiring new clients with insurance needs within your specialist area(s) across North America (US and Canada). This includes actively networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships.
- Client Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs, and providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Portfolio Growth: Expanding your book of business by identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up selling to existing clients and through new client acquisition.
- Market Knowledge: Staying up-to-date on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes within the North American Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie insurance market.
- Risk Assessment: Assessing client risks and recommending appropriate insurance coverage.
- Policy Placement: Negotiating with insurers to secure the best possible terms and coverage for clients.
- Policy Servicing: Handling policy renewals, endorsements, and claims efficiently and effectively, supported by our dedicated administrative team.
- Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, including account managers, underwriters, and claims adjusters, to ensure seamless client service.
- Compliance: Adhering to all relevant US and Canadian regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of success in insurance sales and business development, specifically within North American Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie insurance.
- Established and strong client relationships within Fine Art, Jewellery & Specie in the USA and / or Canada.
- Strong understanding of insurance products and underwriting principles related to these specialist lines in the North American market.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
