The Global Strategic Retail Account Leader is a senior, quota‑carrying individual contributor responsible for owning and growing a number of NIQ’s most important global retail relationships. The role leads a focused portfolio of tier‑one retailers, acts as the primary commercial contact across markets and product lines, and drives long‑term growth through executive engagement, enterprise deal leadership, and cross‑functional coordination.

Your future Responsibilities

  • Global Account Ownership & Growth: Own the end‑to‑end commercial relationship for a defined portfolio of global tier‑one retailers, serving as the primary executive global contact and long‑term strategic advisor across all functions. Develop and execute multi‑year account plans aligned to each retailer’s growth, efficiency, resilience, and digital priorities. Deliver against an annual revenue quota, managing retention of existing contracts, securing new retail data assets, renewing retailer data‑sharing agreements, and driving expansion across new functions, geographies, and product lines including leading AI capabilities within each account.
  • Multi‑Persona Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior retailer stakeholders, positioning NIQ as a strategic transformation partner. Develop a deep understanding of each stakeholder’s priorities, KPIs, and constraints, translating them into tailored NIQ value propositions aligned to growth, efficiency, resilience, monetisation, and data strategy goals. Lead executive business reviews, joint planning cycles, and strategic workshops that connect NIQ impact to client priorities. Build a broad network of advocates and champions across the customer organisation who actively sponsor and expand NIQ’s footprint.
  • Enterprise Deal Orchestration: Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise opportunities, tailoring business cases and narratives to senior decision‑makers. Structure and negotiate enterprise‑level agreements including multi‑year contracts, platform licensing, data collaboration frameworks, AI and managed services solutions. Build alignment across geographies and business units to secure global or regional commercial frameworks.
  • Retail Collaboration & Monetisation: Shape collaboration and monetisation strategies spanning Retail collaboration, Retail media, first‑party data activation and leveraging advanced AI capabilities. Identify new revenue streams by connecting retailer data assets with NIQ platforms to create joint value for retailers and suppliers.
  • Cross‑Regional Enablement & Best Practice Sharing: Act as a connective tissue across NIQ’s regional teams, surfacing what is working in specific markets and translating it into replicable approaches that others can apply with global retailers. Curate and share intelligence on how NIQ is growing with global retailers across markets, including solution plays, and client narratives, to build consistency and raise the bar for commercial execution globally. Build and nurture a community of practice across regional account teams, creating regular forums for sharing client insights, growth plays, and lessons learned in a way that strengthens NIQ’s collective capability with global retail partners. Provide NIQ leadership with visibility into how the global retail portfolio is performing across regions, highlighting patterns, whitespace, and risks that require cross‑market attention. Partner with NIQ product and innovation teams to channel retail client feedback into roadmap priorities, ensuring that what is heard globally informs what NIQ builds next.
  • Performance, Governance & Insight: Track account KPIs including revenue, adoption, impact delivery, and relationship strength. Maintain a comprehensive account plan including a stakeholder map for each account, tracking relationship strength, advocacy, and strategic alignment across key decision‑makers and influencers. Maintain accurate CRM hygiene (MSD) including pipeline, account plans, stakeholder maps, and activity records.

Your Profile

  • Experience: 15+ years in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or retail partnerships, including global or multi‑market roles. Strong understanding of the retail value chain, including commercial, supply chain, operations, media, loyalty, and technology. Proven ability to build senior relationships across multiple functions within large retailer organisations. Experience selling data, analytics, or technology solutions in quota‑carrying enterprise roles. Credible, informed perspective on how AI and advanced analytics are reshaping retailer priorities.
  • Skills & Capabilities: Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, deal structuring, negotiation, and ROI modelling. Ability to build durable, multi‑threaded stakeholder networks in complex organisations. Ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority in a global matrix. Comfort with CRM, sales enablement, and analytics platforms. Intellectually curious, comfortable operating in gray area where new technologies are still emerging.
