Job Description
As a Team Leader in the Retail Customer Success team, you will be working collaboratively with a large UK grocery retailer.
You will lead a team of capable Analysts to deliver high-quality, actionable insights that support both day‑to‑day decision making and longer‑term strategic thinking.
This is a highly collaborative, hands‑on leadership role.
You will work closely with retailer stakeholders and NIQ teams, combining Scanning, Panel and other datasets to ensure insight is consistently clear, relevant, and impactful.
You will play a key role in shaping how insight is delivered—coaching your team to translate data into meaningful recommendations, while building strong and trusted relationships with the client.
Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts to deliver consistently high‑quality insight.

- Provide clear direction, support prioritisation, and ensure high standards of output.
- Actively develop team capability across analysis, storytelling, and client engagement.
- Client Partnership & Ownership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key senior client stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted partner, ensuring insight is aligned to the client’s priorities and challenges.
Oversee delivery of insight, ensuring outputs are clear, relevant, and actionable.
- Support the team in responding effectively to both planned and ad‑hoc client needs.
- Insight Quality & Delivery
- Ensure a high bar for analytical quality, accuracy, and storytelling across all outputs. Guide the team in translating business questions into structured analytical approaches.
- Review and shape key deliverables to maximise clarity and commercial impact.
- Stay close to the work—providing hands‑on support on complex or high‑priority projects.
- Strategic & Commercial Impact
- Build strong understanding of the client’s business, categories, and market dynamics.
- Identify opportunities to deepen value through insight and analysis.
- Work closely with Account Director, contributing to account planning and ongoing development of the client partnership.
- Collaboration & Capability Building
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
- Share best practice and insight approaches across teams. Contribute to building a high‑performing, insight‑led culture within the wider organisation.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in FMCG, retail, or market research analytics.
- Experience leading or coaching others, with a passion for developing talent.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to translate data into actionable insight. Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers. Confident presenter with strong storytelling skills.
