Purpose
- To carry out activities to assist in managing the tax compliance & reporting for NAB\’s UK and Europe operations.
- To assist in the preparation of compliant tax returns and financial reporting within relevant timeframes and lodgement dates.
- To assist in managing tax risks in accordance with NAB\’s Group Tax Policy and overall Risk Management Framework.
- Support the Manager – UK & Europe Tax in developing a culture of continuous improvement within Group Tax.

- Strong communication skills – ability to work collaboratively and presenting outcomes in a clear and concise manner.
Experience
- 4+ years experience in corporate and/or VAT tax compliance and reporting processes.
- Strong tax technical skills with experience in how this translates to compliance and reporting outcomes.
- Financial Services industry experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience with compliance and risk management frameworks preferred.
Qualification Requirements
- Professional accounting qualifications (or in final stages of completion)
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of tax return and tax financial reporting disclosures.
- Effective identification of any issues, and/or escalations pertaining to those activities, through to resolution;
- Manage and operate tax controls in line with policy requirements;
- Continual assessment of processes, outputs and controls to help progress the team toward best practice operational excellence

- Contribution to meeting of all external tax compliance & reporting obligations within due dates;
- Contribution to improvements and enhancements identified and implemented to achieve process improvements while adherence to strong risk culture;

Support the Manager – UK and Europe Tax in discharging the requirements of the Group Tax Policy as it relates to NAB UK and NAB Europe.
