Purpose: Oversee the planning, execution and reporting of a small simultaneous portfolio of Audit activity as set out in the Audit Charter and the annual Audit Plan.

Experience:
- 5+ years in financial services risk-based functions or internal audit in professional services firms.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or IT.
Key Accountabilities:
- Behave in line with NAB's values.
- Provide timely feedback and coaching to colleagues to promote a performance and development culture.
- Program manage a small portfolio of concurrent audits (2-4) within agreed resource and time budgets.
- Contribute to Annual and Dynamic Planning as directed.
- Provide strategic guidance to audit team leads on scope (risks and hypotheses) and approach, including completion of advanced pre-planning in partnership with the Delivery Head of.
- Support team leads to create succinct and clear audit assignment plans that reflect agreed scope as per the Audit plan.
- Draft succinct and clear audit reports.
- Socialise audit report content with business contacts and manage negotiation to audit report finalisation.
- Resolve audit delivery issues escalated by audit team leads and escalate where they cannot be directly solved.
- Coordinate verification of audit raised issues within internal SLA targets once the business indicate issues are closed, ensuring this is supported by quality workpapers.
- Form effective ongoing working relationships with business contacts to facilitate delivery of audits.
- Provide timely ongoing performance feedback and career coaching to direct reports.
- Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to processes and procedures pertinent to the role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.
