Exciting opportunity to join JLL supporting one of our fastest growing clients in the global tech industry. Situated in the heart of London's Bishopsgate, the successful candidate will be awarded a unique opportunity to work in one of the most technically advanced facilities in London. As a multi-skilled technician, the role will be to effectively deliver the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the facilities plant and building MEP services in accordance with the Client Global Reliability programme (GRP).

Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the site is operated in accordance with local legislation, Site SOPs, and GRP requirements in liaison with the Technical Operations Manager.
  • Execute and record all planned and reactive maintenance activities via the CMMS, ensuring meticulous records of repairs, parts used, and equipment history.
  • Support the testing, commissioning, and handover of new building MEP services, providing technical feedback on findings as a competent person.
  • Champion a safety-first culture by conducting risk assessments and adhering to permits to work, ensuring all tasks comply with Health & Safety regulations and building codes.
  • Continuous monitoring and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS), IoT-enabled controls, and smart technologies to improve efficiency and rectify environmental deviations.
  • Perform small-scale installations, fabric maintenance, and repairs for Electrical and Mechanical plant, including light fixtures, door hardware, and plumbing fittings.
  • Utilize Slack for real-time collaboration, incident reporting, and coordination within the Salesforce account to maintain building integrity and safety.
  • Proactively identify operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives in support of the Technical Operations Manager, while escalating urgent issues promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong professional working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and service delivery.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the JLL Engineering Team with technical tasks and site-specific performance requirements.
  • Able to work shifts on occasions out of hours.
  • Subject to on-call rota out of hours if required.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Multi Skilled Building Services Maintenance Contracting Environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to build and maintain strong Client relationships.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, One Drive, Google Drive/Sheets) and proficiency in modern collaboration platforms like Slack.
  • Ability to prioritise your own individual workload.
  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Ability to display initiative, confidence, and professionalism in all dealings.
  • Ability to take ownership, and passion to win, and a growth mindset.
  • High level of proficiency with CAFM/CMMS software for tracking asset lifecycles and maintenance history.
  • Customer-centric problem-solving approach, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations during technical interventions.

Shift Pattern:

4 week Rotating 7am-4pm & 10am-7pm with one Saturday per month @ 7am -4pm.

Qualifications:

  • One, ideally two disciplines of the following:
  • Trade Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation (City & Guilds 2357)
  • Inspection and Testing Certification (City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395)
  • Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing and Domestic Heating
  • Level 3 NVQ in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems (+ F-Gas)

Preferable knowledge of and promotion of emerging IoT or Smart building control technologies. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671-2018) (Discipline Dependent) IOSH qualification.
