We are looking for a Projects Engineer to join the onsite team to effectively assist the delivery of projects. On a day‑to‑day basis you will liaise with contractors and ensure that all permits required are submitted in the correct format, provide escort duties where required, ensure any required isolations are arranged and applied, and work as the liaison between the project team and Operations team onsite. Ensure that all works are completed safely and in accordance with best practice and JLL standards. The successful candidate will have to complete client screening and vetting.
Main duties:
- In liaison with the Principal Contractor and Project Manager to ensure the project is delivered safely and within time scales.
- Attend and participate in Project Meetings.
- Adhere to JLL safe System of Works.
- Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and hand over works for plant and user equipment.
- When required, raise and issue a Change Control Notification.
- Initiate and receive Permits to Work in accordance with procedure.
- Where necessary, write and issue Safety Programmes.
- Where necessary, perform required isolations.
- Wear personal protective equipment when conditions require or when required to do so by the relevant risk assessment, method statement or mandatory signage.
- Provide regular reports (Daily, weekly, monthly as required) to your line manager.
- Strong communication skills to operate systems and prepare reports.
- Assisting the JLL Engineering Team - skills and performance in conjunction with the site team.
- Assist Shift Team.
- Able to work additional shifts/hours as required.
- Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
- Familiar with computer equipment and programs (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.
- Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
- Able to work in other locations at the request of your line manager.
Qualifications:
- Two disciplines of the following:
- Electrical: C&G2361 Part 1 & 2 or Electro‑Technical C&G 2330 and C&G2382‑10 (20)
- Mechanical: Mechanical Engineering C&G 2800 Level 3
- Others: Issuing Permit to Work (Discipline Dependent), Low Voltage Authorised Persons Course
