We are looking to recruit an experienced and reliable Accounts and Tax Semi Senior to join our practice. This role is suited to a candidate with solid experience in a UK accountancy practice environment who can confidently manage compliance work across accounts, corporation tax, personal tax, bookkeeping, and VAT returns with minimal supervision.

Main Duties:

  • Preparation and submission of personal tax returns, including MTD quarterly updates.
  • Preparation of limited companies accounts using TaxCalc.
  • Preparation and submission of corporation tax returns using TaxCalc.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns with bookkeeping using Xero.
  • Liaising directly with clients to request records and resolve queries.
  • Assisting with general practice and administrative duties where required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a UK-based accountancy practice.
  • Strong working knowledge of: TaxCalc (Personal Tax, Company Accounts & Corporation Tax), Xero (Bookkeeping and VAT).
  • Experience preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and landlords.
  • Good understanding of UK tax compliance and HMRC requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently to manage a small portfolio of clients.
