The Senior Product Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping complex, system-level design solutions that elevate user experiences across Flo’s app. Working within the User Centric stream on a 0→1 product initiative, this role combines deep expertise in interaction design, systemic thinking, and visual craft with the ability to architect scalable frameworks and influence product direction.

A key focus is the Virtual Clinic — an initiative aimed at closing the loop of care in female health by connecting tracking, insights, consultations, and follow-ups into one seamless experience within Flo.

As a senior individual contributor, the Senior Product Designer tackles the most challenging design problems, sets the quality bar for the team, and ensures designs are accessible, inclusive, and emotionally resonant. They collaborate across product, engineering, research, and content disciplines, raising craft excellence and contributing significantly to Flo’s overarching design vision.

Your Experience Must have:

  • 10+ years of professional experience designing mobile applications.
  • Portfolio demonstrating systemic design, advanced interaction design, motion and micro-interaction expertise, and measurable product impact.
  • Experience creating scalable frameworks, contribution to design systems, and interaction models.
  • Proficiency in Figma and advanced prototyping tools (e.g., Protopie).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to distill complex ideas into clear narratives and influence stakeholders.
  • Deeply collaborative, with experience mentoring and raising the craft bar for design teams.
  • Commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and ethical design practices.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in AI/LLM-powered design exploration.
  • Experience working in health tech or regulated industries.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead complex design projects (0 → 1), creating scalable frameworks and systems that support growth and innovation.
  • Translate ambiguous product and data challenges into clear, compelling, user-centred experiences.
  • Design features, e2e flows, and experiments that align with user needs and business goals (e.g., engagement, retention, etc.).
  • Produce prototypes and high-fidelity mock-ups using Figma or other prototyping tools.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content designers to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Mentor and support other designers through feedback, craft guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Advocate for emotionally intelligent, ethical design and ensure accessibility standards are upheld at every stage.

You'll be measured on

  • Deliver complex design initiatives that significantly improve user engagement, retention, and user satisfaction outcomes.
  • Raise team capability and craft standards by mentoring peers and contributing to a culture of design excellence.
