Your main goal will be to build scalable finance systems and automations that power n8n’s next stage of growth.

Responsibilities
  • Own the finance systems stack end-to-end (ERP, billing, AP, FP&A), including configuration, integrations, and continuous optimization.
  • Lead system selection and implementation for critical finance tooling, from requirements definition to rollout and adoption.
  • Establish governance, documentation, and change management practices to ensure long-term scalability and reliability.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated workflows and API-based integrations that replace manual finance processes.
  • Lead automation projects from discovery to delivery, including scoping, prioritization, and execution.
  • Partner with internal teams to align dependencies and ensure systems work seamlessly together.
  • Define and maintain a unified finance data model across systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust.
  • Translate finance and accounting requirements into system logic, automation rules, and reporting structures.
  • Replace spreadsheet-based reporting with automated dashboards and reports using SQL and BI tools.
Requirements
  • Deep finance systems experience: You have 7+ years of experience in finance systems, automation, or operations roles.
  • Systems ownership mindset: You’ve owned and optimized core finance systems such as NetSuite, Stripe, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  • Automation and integrations expertise: You have hands-on experience building API-based integrations using REST, authentication, data mapping, and error handling, ideally with low-code tools like n8n or custom setups.
  • Proven delivery track record: You’ve led automation projects that replaced manual finance processes and delivered measurable impact.
  • End-to-end finance knowledge: You understand core finance workflows such as Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report.
  • Data and reporting skills: You’re comfortable working with SQL, finance data models, and automated reporting.
  • Project leadership: You’re known for scoping work clearly, prioritizing effectively, and coordinating stakeholders to deliver on time.
  • Translation superpower: You can turn finance and accounting requirements into scalable system logic and automation.

  • Finance or accounting qualification: You hold a CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualification.
  • Coding foundations: You have basic Python or JavaScript skills for advanced automation or data transformations.
  • BI tool exposure: You’ve worked with BI tools like Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or Hex.
  • High-growth experience: You’ve supported finance systems in fast-scaling or multi-entity environments.
