B2B or B2C PR & comms experience considered - including agency experience. To £55,000 plus share options, outstanding wider package. Hybrid working - 3 days in Cambridge.

About the Role:

Whilst the title covers comms also, PR management really will be at its core. You’ll be at the heart of the action, developing and executing PR strategies that enhance the company brand, drive media coverage, and you’ll be storytelling and developing a narrative as you go. You’ll work closely with the wider marketing function to ensure company messaging is consistent and impactful, and you’ll be charged with getting the maximum amount of exposure for the business more widespread.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and deliver PR and comms plans which get people talking.
  • They need angles and stories which provoke reaction.
  • Work your magic with media outlets to secure top-tier coverage.
  • Create compelling press releases and media kits that journalists can’t resist.
  • Orchestrate and manage press events that generate buzz and excitement for company developments and enhancements.
  • Keep a close eye on media coverage and analyse what’s working (and what’s not).
  • Manage the PR and comms budget with the assistance of the Head of Marketing.
  • Develop content for various platforms and develop storytelling initiatives to gain additional reputation.

About You:

  • A proven track record in PR & comms management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media relations skills, happy to handle all media inquiries.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for storytelling and a creative mindset.
  • Experience in PR which isn’t purely ‘let’s release a press release’ - it must be exciting.
  • Based in or commutable to Cambridge but with hybrid working.
