This senior technical sales role is working for a fast‑growing, innovation‑led technology house on a progressive journey of growth, having secured significant funding during 2025. This is a pivotal commercial role for an experienced technical business development professional who can lead strategy, build senior relationships and convert opportunities into long‑term revenue. You will work closely with the leadership team, shaping how the company's technology reaches new partners and markets, while playing a key role in the company's continued growth.

You'll be involved in, and driving the following:

  • Lead the commercial strategy for a key product line, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Own customer and partner development plans, identifying and converting new commercial opportunities.
  • Provide market, competitor and customer insights to shape commercial and R&D strategy.
  • Manage revenue forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking against agreed targets.
  • Define and monitor BD and sales KPIs, embedding strong pipeline management.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop customised proposals, presentations and commercial materials.
  • Lead contract negotiations with new partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, including speaking opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally on new product development and grant‑funded projects.
  • Provide commercial updates to the Board.

Who we're looking for:

  • Strong commercial experience from within a highly technical environment.
  • Very strong business development skills, within B2B, manufacturing, technology or a related industrial sector.
  • A proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing pipelines and hitting commercial targets.
  • Experience building strategic relationships and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in forecasting, budgeting, KPI tracking and commercial performance management.
  • The ability to interpret market, customer and competitor insight to inform strategy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and proposal development skills.
  • Experience supporting or leading contract negotiations, ideally including licensing agreements.
  • Confidence representing a business publicly, including at industry events.
  • A collaborative style, comfortable working across R&D, operations and product teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to execution.

Experience of the below would be extremely useful:

  • Experience with licensing models, partnerships or global commercial ecosystems.
  • Background leading cross‑functional projects, including new product development or grant‑funded work.
