As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be instrumental in driving growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities. You’ll operate across the entire 360 sales cycle—from generating your own leads and cold calling, through to delivering demos, negotiating, and sealing the deal. This is a role for an ambitious self-starter who’s confident operating independently and has a consultative, strategic approach to sales.
- Identify and reach out to potential clients through proactive, outbound methods
- Conduct tailored, needs-based demos to HR and finance decision-makers
- Build and manage a strong pipeline to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to shape client solutions and provide excellent handovers
- Accurately forecast and update CRM with sales activity and progress
You’re an experienced, energetic sales professional with a passion for SaaS and a proven ability to win new business.
- Demonstrated success in a 360 sales role, including outbound lead generation and closing
- Experience selling HR and payroll software into education or public-sector clients is essential
- Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to operate autonomously
- Confident communicator and natural relationship builder
- Skilled with CRM systems and experienced in forecasting and pipeline management
Base salary up to £55,000, with £45,000 uncapped commission (OTE £100,000+)
Hybrid working: 3 days a week in the Sheffield office
