Due to business expansion, we are looking for a Logistics / Supply Chain Lead to lead N2O’s end-to-end warehousing and logistics strategy and operating model across all sites and partners. The role will be pivotal in ensuring safe, compliant and high-performing delivery that supports business growth through efficient ways of working and use of technology. The role owns the logistics and warehousing roadmap (people, process, systems and network), drives continuous improvement and transformation, and provides senior leadership across the organisation to optimise service, cost-to-serve, inventory accuracy and sustainability. This role builds strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, leads strategic supplier and 3PL partnerships, and plans future capacity and network requirements to ensure resilience and scalability. This role is based in Maidenhead but will require regular (weekly) attendance at our warehouse sites in Bedford and Hook.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Define and own N2O’s warehousing and logistics strategy and target operating model, aligned to business growth plans and client delivery requirements.
  • Lead multi-site operations and strategic partners (including 3PLs, transport and specialist suppliers), setting clear SLAs, governance cadence and performance improvement plans.
  • Own the logistics and warehousing budget, forecast and resource plan; identify and deliver cost-to-serve optimisation, productivity gains and value-for-money procurement.
  • Sponsor major transformation initiatives, including warehouse management systems (WMS), transport management (TMS), reporting/BI, process redesign, and (where appropriate) automation and network reconfiguration.
  • Set the inventory management and stock integrity framework, ensuring robust controls, accurate systems of record, and effective cycle-counting and reconciliation across sites.
  • Lead cross-functional planning with Campaign Management, Client Development and Field Support teams to translate forecast demand into capacity plans, delivery models and commercial assumptions.
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety & Field Operations Lead to ensure that the highest standards of health and safety are practised and maintained across the operation and that the Field Support operation continues to be integrated with and supported by the logistics team.
  • Own compliance and risk management for logistics operations, including health & safety, security, customs/import-export, supplier compliance and audit readiness; act as escalation point for material incidents.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing leadership team, setting clear objectives, coaching capability, succession planning, and creating a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Define and drive N2O’s logistics sustainability priorities (waste reduction, reuse/repurpose, transport efficiency and responsible sourcing), including measurement and reporting of progress.

Requirements

  • Proven senior leadership experience running multi-site warehousing and logistics operations, including management of managers and/or third-party partners.
  • Demonstrable experience setting logistics strategy and delivering measurable transformation (service, cost-to-serve, safety, inventory integrity and customer experience).
  • Strong commercial and financial capability, including budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiation, and business case development for investment and change.
  • Deep understanding of worldwide customs/import-export and international logistics requirements, with the ability to design compliant processes and controls.
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and leadership capability (coaching, performance management, succession planning and culture).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to operate credibly with senior leaders and translate operational constraints into business decisions.
  • Excellent analytical capability and reporting discipline, with working knowledge of WMS/TMS, data-led performance management and continuous improvement methods.

Benefits

  • 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising each year (capped at 30 plus opportunity to buy/sell holiday scheme).
  • Life assurance - to support the financial security of your loved ones.
  • Day one access to Digital GP service 24/7 - we know getting hold of a GP can sometimes be difficult (plus free private medical healthcare after 2 years' service).
  • Retail discounts scheme - save money on lots of everyday high street, online purchases as well as treats and experiences.

  • Our head office location has multiple perks including an onsite gym, free breakfasts, free car parking and onsite café.
  • Regular company socials from BBQs to festive celebrations.
  • Quarterly and annual recognition award schemes.
  • Salary sacrifice scheme to help with your commute costs whether you travel by car or bicycle.
  • And not to forget free onsite car parking or a free shuttle service from Maidenhead train station!
