We are now seeking an experienced HR & Crewing Officer to join our Aberdeen office on a full-time basis to support the day-to-day HR operations within our UK business. In addition to the core HR responsibilities, the role includes administrative duties related to UK immigration compliance for employees working under a Skilled Worker Visa and being a focal point for office management.
Your main duties as HR & Crewing Officer:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HRārelated queries for UKābased employees and managers.
- Manage and process employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, contract changes (mutations), and offboarding.
- Maintain and update HR records and systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Act as the main contact for the external payroll provider, ensuring timely and accurate monthly payroll processing.
- Support line managers with HR documentation such as employment contracts, letters, and HR reports.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company HR policies.
- Assist with absence management, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
- Provide support to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
- Liaise with the wider HR team in other NāSea offices to ensure consistency in HR practices.
- Coordinate, collect, and verify all required contractual and payroll documentation for individuals for whom a Skilled Worker Visa has been requested or issued.
- Maintain accurate and upātoādate records of all active visas, including monitoring expiry dates and ensuring timely renewals.
- Prepare and organize all documentation required for Home Office audits, ensuring full compliance with sponsor license obligations.
- Calculate required salary uplifts in line with UK occupationāspecific minimum salary thresholds, based on the employee's time worked in the UK.
- Prepare and maintain the UK shadow payroll for NāSea personnel working in the UK, ensuring alignment with tax and immigration compliance.
- Liaise with internal departments and external partners, including immigration advisors and payroll providers, to ensure complete, accurate, and timely submission of immigrationārelated information.
- Be the focal point for office management.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a generalist or HR administrative role, ideally within the offshore, oil and gas, or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience working with payroll providers and handling payroll data.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastāpaced environment.
- Willing to travel to the Netherlands as required.
