Join Our Dynamic Team at N-Sea! Are you an experienced deck professional with a strong background in offshore cable installation and lifting operations? N-Sea is looking for a Deck Foreman (Cables) to supervise and coordinate deck activities during offshore cable installation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and well-coordinated deck operations, including rigging, lifting, and cable handling. You will lead deck crews and play a key role in maintaining high safety standards while supporting offshore construction activities. Your Responsibilities
- Supervise deck operations including rigging, lifting, cable pulling, and mechanical handling
- Coordinate deck crew, riggers, and equipment operators to ensure efficient execution
- Ensure all lifting and rigging activities comply with IMCA guidelines and project procedures
- Monitor tools, lifting gear, and equipment certification and condition before use
- Promote and enforce a strong HSE culture on deck
- Lead toolbox talks, risk assessments (JSAs), and permit-to-work activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
- Support cable installation and repair activities in line with project requirements
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior crew members
- Carry out minor maintenance and oversee preventative maintenance of deck equipment
- Report daily progress and operational updates to the OCM or Deputy OCM
- Ensure all work is executed according to procedures and safety standards
Your Profile
- Secondary Vocational Education (MBO) or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Rigger, including at least 1 year as Deck Foreman offshore
- Experience in offshore cable installation and/or repair operations is preferred
- Strong knowledge of lifting, rigging, and deck operations
- Familiar with IMCA guidelines (e.g., M 187, M 264)
- Experience with renewables and knowledge of GWO and G+ guidelines is an advantage
- Strong leadership and safety awareness
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
