We are Leicestershire's Largest Ford Retail Dealer. Due to continued expansion, we now require qualified Technicians who are great at their job but wish to develop their careers. Ideally, you will have Franchise experience; however, manufacturer training will be ongoing for the successful candidate. You will possess a relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3) as a minimum requirement for this role. As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you’ll spend most of your time in our workshop maintaining vehicles to the high standards set out in our Health and Safety policy. It involves carrying out inspections, repairs and services, checking vehicles against VOSA legislation, and handling and storing parts. You’ll also need to make sure all necessary Vehicle Health Checks are completed, that paperwork is accurate and up to date. You will be responsible for ensuring all jobs are completed within agreed timeframes and that a high level of productivity is maintained. Analysis, diagnostics and road testing vehicles are also a critical part of this role. You will deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Required Experience:
- Previous Service Technician Experience
- Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy
- Diagnose vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs
- Notify Workshop supervisor if work cannot be completed as promised
- Communicate with Parts department to obtain parts needed, inform Workshop supervisor if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary
- Attend and successfully complete manufacturer training as required
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
