Job Title: Production Team Leaders Location: Coventry, UK Work Hours: Rotating 3 Shifts (Morning, Afternoon & Nights) Monday to Friday. Other shifts when required. We\’re hiring a Production Team Leader to lead on the shopfloor at our Coventry site – overseeing high-performance teams manufacturing world-class armour and protection systems. From moulding and waterjet cutting to pressing and finishing, you’ll be responsible for meeting daily output targets while improving processes and supporting team development. With a 3-shift pattern (rotating weekly), you’ll be a visible and hands-on leader – solving problems, enforcing standards, and keeping safety, quality, and performance at the heart of everything. Why join us? ✔ £4,000 shift allowance on top of salary ✔ Discretionary half-year bonus ✔ 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + holiday purchase scheme ✔ Employer & employee pension contribution (9% combined) ✔ Life cover (3x base salary) ✔ Paid time off for Cadet Force Adult Volunteers & Reservists ✔ BHSF cash healthcare plan What you’ll be doing Production leadership * Allocate manpower, manage output, and escalate issues * Analyse KPIs and lead daily board meetings * Backfill tasks as needed to ensure coverage * Keep QAD stock records accurate and up to date Team management * Lead performance conversations and job chats * Deliver on-the-job training and maintain skills matrices * Plan holiday cover and manage team admin * Promote flexibility and continuous improvement Process control * Lead shift handovers and toolbox talks * Enforce Health & Safety standards through example * Champion lean behaviours and operational discipline Product quality * Communicate across quality, production, and engineering teams * Support high standards and continuous improvement What we’re looking for You’re an experienced, approachable, and performance-driven leader – comfortable managing shift teams, solving production challenges, and taking ownership for output. You’ll need: * Proven team leadership experience (manufacturing preferred) * Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills * Solid understanding of production systems and health & safety * Intermediate IT skills and confident using factory systems * Ability to manage HR matters such as return-to-work meetings and performance issues You’ll be measured against: * 96%+ RFT (Quality) * 100% Productivity (Std Hours) * 95%+ Schedule Adherence * 95%+ Skills Matrix * 90%+ 5S Score Shift pattern * Mornings: 06:00–14:00 (30-min break) * Afternoons: 14:00–22:00 (30-min break) * Nights: 22:00–06:00 (30-min break) Note: You’ll rotate weekly and may be required to cover other shifts when needed (with additional shift pay).
