This is a great opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (mechanically biased) to broaden their skills and effectively manage a variety of maintenance responsibilities for a global armour technology manufacturer. You will be a valued member of the maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of the site's plant, equipment and buildings. This role is based on-site at our Coventry Site 1 facility, CV6 5AQ. SHIFT WORKING REQUIREMENTS
The role requires working three different shifts (Monday to Friday) that will rotate every week to cover the following timeframes:
- Mornings
- Afternoons
- Nights
Please note: This role will require occasional weekend work to meet production deadlines and business needs. We are looking for candidates who are flexible and able to adapt to these demands when necessary.

MAIN DUTIES
- Service and maintain all plant, equipment and building services in line with the company’s preventative maintenance standards and procedures.
- Support the site's EHS compliance obligations
- Machine tool changes and modifications
- New equipment installation and modification
- Safety system installations and improvements
- Movement or re-organisation of production lines
- Installation of services to support the site's development.
- Assist with implementation of changes to manufacturing processes.
- Any other activities requiring practical engineering support in their implementation.
- Produce work instructions for specific job tasks.
- Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
- Contractor support
EXPERIENCE
- Time served multi-skilled maintenance engineer (mechanically biased)
- Relevant experience in a fast-paced preventative maintenance environment
- Electrical understanding (BS 7671)
- Knowledge of waterjet cutting systems (advantage)
- Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic systems and compression moulding
- Knowledge of steam systems (advantage)
- Ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems.
- City & Guilds / HNC / ONC (advantage)
- Forklift truck licence (advantage)
- Good IT experience with Microsoft Packages such as Word and Excel
- MEWP licence (advantage)
