If you have in-depth knowledge of the financial markets, specifically Equities/Fixed Income E-Trading and exchange connectivity, we have an exciting and varied role that bridges the gap between the trading floor and technology. We are looking for an ex-trader or broker ready to pivot into a full-life cycle Business Analyst and Product Management role, leveraging your market expertise to drive the development of cutting-edge trading solutions.

About The Role: This is a unique opportunity within an established and growing organisation. The primary responsibility will be managing the full project life cycle, from initial business analysis and scoping requirements to managing project delivery and solving complex problems. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring our trading systems constantly evolve to meet client and market needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Functional Requirement Gathering: Work closely with development teams to translate deep market knowledge and stakeholder requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • System Review & Improvement: Constantly review existing trading systems and client needs to identify functionality improvements.
  • Project Management: Drive product initiatives, defining timelines, identifying dependencies, and assessing risks using tools like MS Project and Jira/Confluence.
  • Client Onboarding & Training: Develop and provide comprehensive training materials for new features and functionalities.
  • Problem Solving: Innovate solutions with the confidence to challenge stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate solution is delivered.
Candidate Background (An Ideal Fit):

We are specifically targeting candidates from backgrounds that possess deep, practical market knowledge. This role is a perfect fit for:

  • Ex-Traders/Brokers with some working knowledge of IT systems.
  • Account Managers or Functional Support specialists from an ISV/Trading Software vendor.
  • Trader Support or Settlements background professionals.
  • IT Support with a demonstrated interest and excellent business knowledge of the markets.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets is a MUST, ideally Equities, with Fixed Income, Futures & Options/FX knowledge highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience (even if informal) as a Business Analyst/Product Manager in delivering trading solutions within a trading environment.
  • Experience working with engineering teams following Agile/Scrum SDLC methodologies, translating business requirements into stories and epics.
  • Solid understanding of IT fundamentals including Windows/Linux and general networking (TCP/UDP, multicast data delivery).
  • Understanding of distributed server architectures.
Desirable Knowledge Of Any (Beneficial):
  • Understanding of ultra-low latency distributed computing environments.
  • Familiarity with the FIX trading protocol and various market data systems (Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG).
  • Previous experience with specific ISVs: Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, Fidessa, ION/Patsystems, Trayport.
  • Exchange Connectivity experience (ICE/LIFFE, Eurex, CME/CBOT, Euronext, Xetra, LSE, NYSE, etc).
  • Good understanding of the full trade life cycle.
  • Knowledge of cloud technology (AWS/Azure) or Databases (SQL Server/Oracle).
  • Fluent Spanish speaker.
