This role offers a lucrative signing bonus with Freedom (Bonus of £2500: £1250 in the first month, and £1250 after successful probation).
Freedom Networks seeks a Chargehand Linesman for a field-based role. The primary responsibility is to work within a team to ensure timely delivery, safety, quality standards, and project specifications. The role reports directly to the Supervisor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install, build, and refurbish overhead lines at various voltages – LV, 11kV, up to 33kV.
- Work in accordance with Freedom and customer standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain and update personal competence according to legislative and customer requirements.
- Guide and collaborate with team members to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Communicate instructions and messages as directed by management.
- Supervise safety adherence among team members.
- Liaise with third parties to facilitate smooth work execution.
- Follow SHEQ policies and safety instructions.
- Ensure site safety and complete daily risk assessments as needed.
- Adhere to method statements and risk assessments.
- Report accidents and near misses promptly.
- Raise SHEQ concerns with the team and management.
- Uphold Freedom’s values and complete work to high standards.

Additional skills include:
