Freedom Networks is seeking a Chargehand Linesperson for a field-based role. The primary responsibility is to lead and work as part of a team on various overhead line projects, including constructing and replacing outdated networks. This role offers opportunities for career development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading an Overhead Line team to erect poles, change transformers, and perform other overhead line tasks.
- Constructing, maintaining, and replacing overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
- Performing all work in accordance with company, client, and industry standards, policies, and procedures.
- Leading by example and safely executing assigned tasks.
- Participating in risk assessments before project start and ongoing review and reporting of safety concerns.
- Maintaining safety at all times in line with statutory and company requirements.
- Ensuring work is efficient and compliant with safety and quality standards.
- Installing and constructing overhead electricity networks to relevant standards.
- Reporting unsafe conditions or acts to management.
- Mentoring team members.
- Developing and maintaining personal competence according to legislative and customer requirements.
- Working collaboratively to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Adhering to SHEQ policies and safety instructions.
- Maintaining site safety and equipment in good condition.
- Following method statements and risk assessments.
- Reporting SHEQ concerns to appropriate teams.
