Your key responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive as a team.
- Lead our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair.
- Be a role model for outstanding care and education, inspiring your team to bring their best every day.
- Champion continuous improvement, keeping practice fresh, creative, and outstandingly outstanding.
- Shape the daily routine of your room, ensuring smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
- Support your team to plan, observe, and deliver high‑quality learning experiences tailored to every child.
- Coach, guide, and motivate your team through regular feedback and professional development.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in their children’s learning.
- Embed and role‑model our safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards across your room.
Our Room Managers should have…
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, or early years educator).
- If a Baby Room Manager, you will need previous experience working with children under 2.
- Experience in leading and coaching a team.
- A background in consistently delivering exceptional customer service.
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a commitment to remain compliant.
- Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and willingness to update that training regularly.
- A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
- A positive, glass‑half‑full outlook.
- Bags of drive and motivation with a ‘make it happen’ attitude.
- A solid decision‑maker with the ability to support and achieve our Wildly Important Goals (WIGs).
