Compensation: £30,118 – £33,738 / year

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive as a team.
  • Lead our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair.
  • Be a role model for outstanding care and education, inspiring your team to bring their best every day.
  • Champion continuous improvement, keeping practice fresh, creative, and Outstandingly Outstanding.
  • Shape the daily routine of your room, ensuring smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
  • Support your team to plan, observe, and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to every child.
  • Coach, guide, and motivate your team through regular feedback and professional development.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in their children’s learning.
  • Embed and role-model safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards across your room.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, or early years educator).
  • For Baby Room Managers, previous experience working with children under 2.
  • Experience in leading and coaching a team.
  • A background in leading consistent and exceptional customer service.
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
  • Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a commitment to remain compliant.
  • Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and willingness to update that training regularly.
  • A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
  • A positive, glass-half-full outlook.
  • Bags of drive and motivation with a ‘make it happen’ attitude.
  • A solid decision-maker with the ability to support and achieve our WIGs (Wildly Important Goals).
