Role
As a Room Manager at N Family Club, you’ll lead an incredible team of Educators in one of our nursery family rooms. You’ll be a specialist in early years education, driving passionate, innovative teaching. You’ll be an inspirational leader, supporting colleagues to reach their goals and delivering the best care for every child.
In a fast-paced, evolving environment, you will drive our Wildly Important Goals (WIG) forward, support continuous improvement, and help us become the most loved early years education group in the UK.
Your key responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive as a team.
- Lead our “learning through play” ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair.
- Be a role model for outstanding care and education, inspiring your team to bring their best every day.
- Champion continuous improvement, keeping practice fresh and creative, aiming for outstanding results.
- Shape the daily routine of your room, ensuring smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
- Support your team to plan, observe, and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to every child.
- Coach, guide, and motivate your team through regular feedback and professional development.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in their children’s learning.
- Embed and role-model safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards across your room.
Our Room Managers should have
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or nursery practitioner/early years educator).
- For Baby Room Managers, prior experience with children under 2.
- Experience in leading and coaching a team.
- A background in leading consistent and exceptional customer service.
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a commitment to remain compliant.
- Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and willingness to update regularly.
- A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
- A positive, glass-half-full outlook.
- Bags of drive and motivation with a “make it happen” attitude.
- A solid decision-maker with the ability to support and achieve our WIGs (Wildly Important Goals).
