As a Housekeeper, you’ll help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environments for children, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all nursery areas, including playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Carry out daily cleaning routines (mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising)
- Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies and notify management when orders are needed
- Support with laundry and linen changes as required
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and infection control standards
- Help keep nursery environments warm, tidy, and welcoming
- Work closely with the wider team to uphold high cleanliness standards
- Follow all relevant policies and procedures for safeguarding and safety
What you’ll need
- Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning, or facilities role
- A proactive and reliable approach with excellent attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Understanding of basic health & safety and COSHH guidelines (training provided if needed)
- A warm, friendly attitude and team spirit – you’ll be a key part of the nursery community
- A willingness to complete any necessary training
