As a Chef at N Family Club, you’ll play a vital role in nurturing children’s health and wellbeing through nutritious, delicious, and balanced meals. You’ll follow menus that support the nutritional needs of young children, maintain the highest standards of food safety, and bring energy and creativity to the kitchen every day.
What you’ll be doing…
- Planning and preparing healthy, tasty meals and snacks tailored to early years nutritional guidelines
- Ensuring all meals meet dietary requirements and allergies are carefully managed
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Ordering and managing stock efficiently to minimise waste
- Collaborating with nursery teams to align mealtimes with daily routines
- Supporting children to develop positive eating habits through meal presentation and interaction
- Adhering to all food safety legislation and standards, including HACCP
- Continuously innovating menus with fresh, seasonal ingredients
Our Chefs should have…
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen, ideally with experience cooking for children or in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred)
- A passion for healthy eating and nutrition, especially for early years children
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a can-do mindset and flexibility
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
