What it means to be an Apprentice at N Family Club:
Our Level 2 Early Years Practitioner (15 months) and Level 3 Early Years Educator (18 months) apprenticeships are designed to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to launch your career as an Educator. Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll gain hands-on experience across different nursery rooms and a wide variety of activities within the N Curriculum, including Forest School, The N Passport, and Spanish.
Twenty percent of your time will be dedicated to 'off the job' training, where you’ll focus on developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours outlined in the apprenticeship standards. You will have a dedicated tutor and mentor to guide and support you every step of the way. Upon successful completion, you will earn a full and relevant qualification that will serve as a strong foundation for your career in early years education.
After completing your apprenticeship, your career can evolve into a specialism of your choice or advance into management, providing you with endless opportunities for growth and progression.
Housed in a stunning late-Victorian villa with a rich history of nurturing young minds, our 73-place N Guildford nursery is a place where curiosity thrives! Just a short walk from London Road station (with plenty of parking too!). Inside, six spacious, light-filled playrooms and a creative atelier set the stage for inspiring learning experiences. Outside, our enclosed L-shaped garden is designed for adventure, with messy play zones and a dedicated baby area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and support the delivery of our 'learning through play' educational ethos and the N Curriculum
- Sensitively learn and support implement the pattern of the day routine
- Observe and contribute towards planning innovative learning experiences that constantly challenge children's learning and development
- Observe and contribute towards high-quality observations, assessments and planning for the children within your care
- Learn and support key transition periods within the room such as sleep times, mealtimes and outings occur smoothly
- Learn and support mealtime supervision and adhering to all of N’s mealtime policies to ensure we are keeping our children safe when served and eating food
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
- Learn to build and maintain excellent relationships with parents and team members
- Promote and role-model safeguarding procedures and the importance of child welfare
- Ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the day
- Ensure that daily H&S-related tasks and checks happen promptly and thoroughly with any concerns followed up
- Responsible for always adhering to the company's H&S policy
- Be committed to continual reflective practice throughout your learning journey
- Commit to and follow the apprenticeship path in order to gain your early years qualification
