As Maintenance Operative, you will assist, to ensure the upkeep and maintenance within this property.
Key Responsibilities for the role of Maintenance Operative:
* Carry out daily maintenance tasks across bedrooms, public areas, kitchen, and back of house.
* Respond promptly to repair requests and guest maintenance issues.
* Perform routine inspections of plant, equipment, and building systems (lighting, plumbing, heating, etc.).
* Complete minor repairs, painting, patching, fixture replacement, and basic plumbing tasks.
* Assist with external areas: sweeping, patio/garden upkeep, and light outdoor maintenance.
* Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are stored safely and in good working order.
* Keep maintenance records and communicate issues to management clearly.
* Work closely with the housekeeping and front-of-house teams to ensure quick resolution of any faults.
* Be available to support on weekends and during peak guest turnover periods.
What We’re Looking for the role of Maintenance Operative:
* Previous maintenance, caretaking, or facilities experience preferred (hospitality or similar environment is a bonus).
* Hands-on skills in general repairs, painting, plumbing, or electrics.
* A flexible and positive approach — happy to jump in where needed.
* Self-motivated with strong time management and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative, especially during weekends.
