Chef de Partie, required for our client, a Village Inn, located on the coast in the Kingsbridge area of Devon. This location is a beautiful place to live and work. In your spare time you could be paddle boarding, swimming, kayaking or just enjoying this coastal area. Shared live in is available for this role. As Chef de Partie the Village Inn, serves real ales, great gastro pub food and good cheer to everyone from new guests to old locals. To ensure your section is clean, well-stocked and organised ready for service. It is a vital part of the position to keep food quality for both guests and staff to the best standard potentially possible. Key Responsibilities: Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes Preparing meat and fish Assisting with the management of health and safety Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices Managing and training any Commis Chefs Monitoring portion and waste control Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards The salary for this opportunity of Chef de Partie is given as £29,000 – £31,000 / per annum.
