Café Chef / Assistant required for a busy Café, located in the Bishops Stortford area. Would you like to be part of a café team with evenings off? Then this could be the ideal job for you!
My client seeks a Café Chef / Assistant, and some details on the role:
- You will assist the Kitchen Manager in your role with the assistance of some other kitchen team members in place.
- This café is open 7 days a week and operates between the hours of 08.30hr and 16.30hr daily.
- The café provides food and beverages, offering breakfast / brunch and other cooked meals throughout the day, using locally sourced suppliers for bakery, food and drink.
- You will have a passion and enthusiasm in your work.
- You will be hands on and a team player with good kitchen skills and knowledge, to include adhering to: health and safety / cost control / standards set / food hygiene / statutory guidelines.
- You will also assist the front of house manager with the opening and closing of the café outside of the kitchen service time.
- You will be working 35 to 40 hours a week (candidates looking for a 30-hour week will also be considered).
- This role will require that you work weekends as this is a busy time, on a rota.
