Head Housekeeper required for a hotel located in the outer Ashford, Kent area.

Live in is available.

As Head Housekeeper, you will have previous housekeeping management experience from within a hotel or similar.

Alternatively, you may be a housekeeping supervisor currently looking for your first senior appointment.

This role is hands on, which will require you to manage areas within your remit including: rota scheduling, purchase and cost control, linen control, standards of cleanliness and quality to ensure your department runs smoothly.

Housekeeper

  • To ensure the smooth running of the Housekeeping Department.
  • Manage and control the cleaning and inspection of guest’s rooms and public areas on a daily basis, to ensure excellent cleaning results and standards.
  • To be responsible for training, motivating and developing your housekeeping team to ensure standards are maintained and exceeded with regards to the presentation and cleanliness of public areas and guest bedrooms.
  • Rota scheduling of your housekeeping team according to the business levels.
  • Check that furnishings and equipment are in good repair.
  • Control of housekeeping procedures, including lost and found, Health & Safety, COSHH, keys, reporting maintenance issues and emergency procedures.
  • Manage and record the linen – dirty and clean.
  • This is a full time role, working 5 days over 7, to include week-ends on a rota basis according to business levels.
  • You will need to be hands on assisting to get rooms back for hire.
  • Ensure that all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner by every team member.

The salary for the vacancy of Head Housekeeper is given as £32,000 to £35,000 / per annum.
