ND Brown Ltd is seeking a proactive and organised Commercial Vehicle Sales Assistant to support the Head of Fleet Disposals in the sale and disposal of ex-fleet commercial vehicles. This is a hands-on role combining administrative support, vehicle advertising, and physical liaison work across ND Brown's depot network, third-party workshops, and paint shops. The successful candidate will help ensure vehicles are prepared, advertised, sold, and invoiced efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Administration
    • Raise sales invoices and ensure all associated paperwork is accurate and complete.
    • Prepare and compile sales documentation, including vehicle history, compliance records, and handover packs.
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle sales, stock status, and disposal progress.
    • Support the Head of Fleet Disposals with general administrative duties as required.
  • Vehicle Advertising
    • Create and manage vehicle listings on Auto Trader, Truck Trader, and other relevant sales platforms.
    • Take high-quality photographs of vehicles at depots and third-party sites for use in adverts.
    • Write clear, accurate, and appealing vehicle descriptions, keeping listings up to date and removing sold stock promptly.
  • Client Liaison
    • Respond to and manage enquiries from prospective buyers by phone and email.
    • Liaise with clients regarding vehicle specification, condition, availability, and sale terms.
    • Provide a professional point of contact throughout the sales process, escalating to the Head of Fleet Disposals where needed.
  • Depot & Site Travel
    • Travel regularly between ND Brown depots to inspect, photograph, and collect vehicles for sale.
    • Liaise with third-party workshops and paint shops regarding vehicle preparation, repairs, and refurbishment work ahead of sale.
    • Check vehicle condition and readiness for sale, flagging any outstanding work or discrepancies.

Person Specification

  • Experience & Knowledge
    • Experience in a sales administration, vehicle sales, or fleet/motor trade environment is desirable.
    • Familiarity with commercial vehicles is an advantage, though not essential; full training will be provided.
    • Comfortable using online advertising platforms (e.g. Auto Trader, Truck Trader) or willing to learn quickly.
    • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail for paperwork and invoicing accuracy.
